Around two thirds of our customers already have a water meter and, typically, they use 15 per cent less water than customers without a meter - helping make the best use of our local water resources and protecting the local environment, like rivers and streams.

Paul Rudd, a customer from Caterham, opted to switch over to a metered bill. He said:

“Making the switch to a water meter has had an immediate impact. We all became much more thoughtful about how we were using water in the house; it made us think about the ways we may be wasting water - like leaving the tap running, the length of our showers and just how much water to put in the kettle.

"SES Water managed the switch efficiently - it was simple and straightforward. All it took was a short phone call and that same day, the switch happened with no effort on my part. I’ve already saved money. In fact, I got a refund which was very welcome! I wish I’d done it a long time ago.”

Customer Mrs Davies, who lives in Reigate, was very pleased with our response when she got in touch about her water bills. She told us:

“Thank you so much for being one of the few suppliers actually making this easier on people, instead of taking advantage of the situation. You could teach my energy company a thing or two! I can’t thank you enough.”

Meanwhile, another customer, Mr Langford from Godstone, had this comment on our customer service:

“This is my second call to the customer support team and quite frankly they have been brilliant on both occasions. It is the best customer support dealing that I have ever had with any company and I do appreciate the help. Thank you.”
