Wastewater charges
The readings from your new meter will also be used to calculate your wastewater charges for taking away and treating the water you use - typically, around 92 per cent of water supplied to a property leaves it via the sewer system. In our area, wastewater services are provided by Thames Water and Southern Water, depending on where you live.
We bill our water supply customers for wastewater charges on behalf of Thames Water, with Southern Water sending separate bills to customers for their wastewater.
